FTE Announces Appointment of New Managing Director Edgar Schenk

The Executive Board of FTE is pleased to announce the appointment of Edgar Schenk as new Managing Director of Forum Train Europe FTE.

Edgar Schenk (born 1968, Swiss citizen) has 28 years of experience in the railway business. He worked for SBB from 1991 - 2014 in various positions in the passenger division amongst others as head of Product Management and Offer Planning. During this time, he also represented SBB at numerous FTE conferences and is therefore well acquainted with the FTE organization and all the partner colleagues.

For the last 4 years he worked for BLS and headed the Rail Planning Department. Within this function he managed the largest rolling stock procurement in the history of the company.

Edgar Schenk is a business economist and holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) with a specialization in Public Management. He is married and lives in Berne.

The Executive Board has great confidence in Edgars skills and abilities to lead FTE into a successful future while focusing on the interest of our members. We wish him every success and satisfaction in his new position. Edgar Schenk will take up his activities within FTE from April 1st, 2019. Until then continuity is ensured by Peter Jäggy.
