The Capacity Regulation that entered into force in June designates the European Railway Platform (ERP) as the entity to represent market interests in the development of new European frameworks.
In response, a group of European associations, representing a wide range of railway stakeholders, joined forces and submitted a joint proposal for the ERP to the European Commission.
The partners met in Brussels to strengthen their collaboration on this topic. The proposal is built around an ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ป to ensure every affected party can be represented โ whether a railway undertaking or a service facility operator, large or small โ and to ensure the market voice can be heard effectively when the new processes are being defined.

- ๐ข๐ป๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ to enable participation regardless of travel constraints
- A ๐ฐ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ, ๐๐๐ฟ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป-๐บ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐๐ enabling timely positions
The proposal is currently under assessment by the European Commission. The partnering associations call for a swift decision so the ERP can begin its work and start representing the market without delay.
