FTE Welcomes Two Trainees

At Forum Train Europe, we are eager to support young professionals taking their first steps in the railway sector through our traineeship programme. We welcome two new trainees to the FTE team.

Samuel Grosz joined the FTE office as a political science student from Sciences Po Strasbourg and the Universität des Saarlandes. He is keen to explore how political systems and decisions and regulations impact the organisation and coordination to run Europe’s complex and interconnected international rail services.

Samuel states: "Being at the intersection of my passion for bringing cross-border rail services into reality and political decision-making at the European level is a unique opportunity. FTE represents exactly this intersection as a platform for exchange and support for infrastructure users."

Ramun Seglias is FTE’s first trainee to take part in the dual traineeship programme in cooperation with ČD Cargo. He joins the FTE team after completing a master’s degree in European policy at the University of Amsterdam, where he specialised in European rail policy. Through the dual structure of the programme, he is exploring both the international dimension of rail coordination at FTE and the operational realities at national level with ČD Cargo.

Ramun remarks: “It is a privilege to work with many stakeholders and gain a broad overview of the sector. Seeing how different actors collaborate across borders is giving me valuable insights into both the challenges and opportunities of European rail.”
