FTE Welcomes Two Trainees

Forum Train Europe is happy to welcome two new trainees, continuing its commitment to helping young professionals get started in the rail industry through its traineeship program.

Brunis Kibilds joined the FTE team studying Built Environment at Breda University of Applied Sciences, specialising in mobility. Having completed a bachelor's degree in European Relations before this, he is keen to explore how supranational cooperation and evolving regulations can help bring Europe's rail network closer together.

Brunis shares: “European rail integration is entering an exciting phase, and at FTE, I have the chance to observe up close how regulatory ambitions at the European level become real, operational solutions for the sector, through the coordination of stakeholders shaping the sector's new capacity management framework.”

Maria Knecht joined FTE as an SBB trainee. She holds a master's degree in Psychology from the University of Zurich and previously completed an internship in Human Factors at SBB.

Maria comments: “Having already gained some experience at SBB during the internship, I am looking forward to getting to know international traffic more closely. I am especially excited about this trainee program because it lets me explore areas beyond my academic focus and discover new perspectives within the company.”
