We are excited to announce the inaugural meeting of the FTE Working Group Traffic Management. This kick-off completes the formal extension of FTE’s scope into the area of train operations.
Highlights from the kick-off:
- Opening remarks by FTE Executive Board member Richard Hermann (DB Cargo).
- 18 participants from incumbents and new entrants reviewed the implications of the new EU Regulation on the Use of Infrastructure Capacity.
- The group agreed working methods and the plan for 2026. Moreover, the group defined the backlog of topics which are not associated with the Regulation, but are important to address business needs from the members.
- Leadership of the Traffic Management Working Group was elected: Filip Zucker (METRANS Group) will chair for freight and Emil Radomski (PKP Intercity) will chair for passenger.
- The leaders will be supported by the new FTE project manager for topics of operation, Aleksandar Markelić
We look forward to a productive 2026 as the group tackles tasks from the new Regulation and practical priorities together.
