In a unanimous decision, the FTE Plenary Assembly has elected Jan Ilík as a new member of the FTE Executive Board.
Jan brings a wealth of experience as a transport strategist, with a robust background in railway policy, long-distance passenger transport planning, and international cooperation. After graduating from Charles University in Prague, he served as a ministerial advisor for the Czech Ministry of Transport. In 2018, he joined České Dráhy, where he held key positions, including Deputy Director of the Long-Distance Transport Department, before assuming his current role as Head of International Affairs.
FTE President Philipp Mäder stated, “The unanimous support from the FTE Plenary Assembly for Jan Ilík's election is clear evidence of his exceptional qualifications. We are delighted to welcome him to the FTE Executive Board. His profound understanding of business and policy will strongly enhance our efforts and initiatives.”
