The FTE Plenary Assembly took place on 2 December.
This was the first time the Assembly convened after the Trilogue on the Capacity Regulation concluded, which shaped the agenda for the meeting.
Key decisions taken:
-
A proposal to establish the European Railway Platform as an inclusive market voice
-
Amendments to the FTE Statutes to include traffic management and extend membership eligibility to service facilities
-
A decision to further investigate a revised, more attractive membership fee system
FTE President Philipp Mäder summed up the meeting: “This was a timely meeting right after the conclusion of the Capacity Regulation Trilogue to discuss what this new legal framework will mean for FTE and its members. I was pleased we could align on the two main strategic topics: the setup of the European Railway Platform and the confirmation to further investigate a revised and more attractive membership fee model.”
The next FTE Plenary Assembly is planned for 19 May 2026.
